Originally from <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Karlsruhe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Karlsruhe</a>, Germany, I found my home with my favorite human in <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Norderstedt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Norderstedt</a>, but I'm a <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Hamburg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Hamburg</a>|ian at heart. To keep my mixed-breed <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/dog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#dog</a> 🐶 fed, I'm bugging my colleagues and our customers with <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/infosec" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#infosec</a> / <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/infrasec" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#infrasec</a> stuff. I like to spend my nights on goth dancefloors or at equally scary festivals 🦇, preferring dark, electric and fast music. I'm also quite passionate about <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/electromobility" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#electromobility</a>, <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/renewableenergies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#renewableenergies</a> and lots of technical gadgetry in general.

Ronnie SoakWith my local and current prices (though they changed over the year) that's 5,76€/100km charging at home, 9,18€ on the road as AC, 10,88€ DC fast charging.That is before I factor in that some of that energy at home came for free from the sun.As a comparison, my previous (slightly larger) gas car would have cost 15.85€ per 100km.Also: no maintenance costs in the first year, but that's too be expected.<a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/electromobility" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#electromobility</a>

Ronnie SoakOne year of driving an EV. Went 12380 km, EV tells me with 17.0kWh/100kmWallbox + commercial chargers tell me it was 11% more, which comes down to 19.1kWh/100km. In addition to the losses, this also includes pre-heating the car while plugged in. In order to reach 15 million electric <a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/cars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#cars</a> in 2030, the proportion of new registrations will have to rise sharply in the next few years, and soon practically only e-cars would need to be registered. 🔌🚗🐌

Robert LemkeTrump is on the campaign trail in Michigan, ranting about how dangerous and useless electric cars are. Meanwhile, Toyota (the ones who have somewhat slept through the market for pure electric cars) announces two new solid state batteries.
