Don Trueten :antifa:<p>In the history of the <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/revolts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>revolts</span></a> against <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/slavery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>slavery</span></a>, enslaved <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/women" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>women</span></a> must not be reduced to the role of passive victims of colonial violence. This is particularly evident in the case of Carlota <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/Lucum%C3%AD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Lucumí</span></a>, who heroically defended herself against her oppressors with a machete in her hand and is still considered a revolutionary <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/symbol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>symbol</span></a> of Cuba today.<br>Long before the Cuban Revolution, the so-called <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/Triunvirato" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Triunvirato</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/Revolution" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Revolution</span></a> shaped the history of the island, during which numerous <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/slaves" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>slaves</span></a> rose up against their owners. It was a large movement that took hold of several plantations.
