Ultime hommage à la France, Freud choisit comme livre de chevet "La Peau de Chagrin" de <a href="https://framapiaf.org/tags/Balzac" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Balzac</a> - lequel définissait cette histoire comme une « fantaisie presque orientale où la vie elle-même est prise avec le Désir » (mic-mac que la <a href="https://framapiaf.org/tags/psychanalyse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#psychanalyse</a> prétend démêler...)

Tous sont antérieurs à 1920 et concernent exclusivement la "première topique". Début 1940, in extremis, parait "Métapsychologie". En sept. 1940, l'occupant nazi, «désireux de contribuer à la création d'une atmosphère plus saine» (sic), établie la "Liste Otto" : tous les livres de Freud sont interdits ! Avec la reconstruction, il faudra attendre près de 10 ans, pour que l'on revienne enfin à Freud !
